STATE OF THE WORLD

Jonathan Cook is an Independent British Journalist living in Arab Nazareth of Occupied Palestine, the place where Jesus was raised up. He is published frequently in the Middle East but he is avoided like the plague by US and Western MSM because he gets what Palestinians have to go through with the Israeli Occupation/Military Dictatorship over Palestinians, and writes clearly and succinctly about it.

This is his latest publication appearing Today and while he writes in non-religious terms, he is basically articulating what I see unfolding in this Material World through a Biblical perspective, and agree with this analysis.

Our broken system has no ‘moderate’ devotees

Corporate Media ControlWestern politics is tearing itself apart, polarising into two camps – or at least, it is in the official narrative we are being fed by our corporate media. The warring camps are presented as “moderate centrists”, on one side, and the “extreme right”, on the other. The question is framed as a choice about where one stands in relation to this fundamental political divide.

But what if none of this is true? What if this isn’t a feud between two opposed ideological capitalist-pyramidcamps but rather two differing – and irrational – reactions to the breakdown of late-stage capitalism as an economic model, a system that can no longer offer plausible solutions to the problems of our age?

Neighbouring news headlines this week offered a neat illustration of the media’s framing of the current situation. Representing the “moderates”, German chancellor Angela Merkel made a “passionate address” in which she denounced the outbreak of far-right protests in east Germany and reports of the “hunting down” of “foreigners” – asylum seekers and immigrants.

She observed: “There is no excuse or explanation for rabble-rousing, in some cases the use of violence, Nazi slogans, hostility towards people who look different, to the owner of a Jewish restaurant, attacking police.”

Ostensibly pitted against Merkel, is Viktor Orban, Hungary’s “extreme right” prime Refugees not welcomeminister. Hungary risks being stripped of its voting rights in the European Union because of Orban’s “rabble-rousing” policies and his anti-migrant agenda.

Shortly before the European parliament voted against Hungary, accusing its government of posing a “systematic threat” to democracy and the rule of law, Orban argued that his country was being targeted for preferring not to be “a country of migrants”.

He is far from an outlier. Several other EU states, from Italy to Poland, are close behind Orban in pursuing populist, anti-immigrant agendas.

Family feud

But does this civil war in Europe really reflect a divide between good and bad politics, between moderates and extremists? Are we not witnessing something else: the internal contradictions brought to the fore by a turbo-charged neoliberalism that is now so ideologically entrenched that no one dares question its suitability, let alone its morality?

In truth, the row between Merkel and Orban is a family feud, between sister and brother wedded to the same self-destructive ideology but in profound disagreement about which placebo should be administered to make them feel better.

What do I mean?

Merkel and the mainstream neoliberal elite are committed to an ever-more deregulated world because that is imperative for a globalised economic elite searching to accrue ever more wealth and power. That elite needs open borders and a lack of significant regulation so that it can plunder unrestricted the Earth’s resources – human and material – while dumping the toxic waste byproducts wherever is most profitable and convenient.habitablezones

In practice, that means creating maximum damage in places and against life-forms that have the least capacity to defend themselves: the poorest countries, the animal kingdom, the forests and oceans, the weather system – and, of course, against future generations that have no voice. There is a reason why the deepest seabeds are now awash with our plastic debris, poisoning and killing marine life for decades, maybe centuries, to come.plastic fish.jpg

Interestingly, this global elite makes a few exceptions to its policy of entirely open borders and sweeping deregulation. Through its pawns in the world’s leading capitals – the people we mistakenly think of as our political representatives – it has created small islands of opacity in which it can stash away its wealth. These “offshore tax havens” are highly regulated so we cannot see what goes on inside them. While the elite wants borders erased and the free movement of workers to set one against the other, the borders of these offshore “safe deposit boxes” are stringently preserved to protect the elite’s wealth.offshore wealth.jpg

International order

Meanwhile, the global elite has created international or trans-national structures and institutions precisely to remove the power of nation-states to regulate and dominate the business environment. The political class in the United States, France, Britain, Germany, Mexico or Brazil do not control the corporations. These corporations control even the biggest states. The banks are too big to fail, the arms manufacturers too committed to permanent war to rein in, the largely uniform narratives of the corporate media too powerful to dissent from.

Instead, global or trans-national institutions, such as the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the European Union, NATO, BRICS and many others, remake our world to promote the globalised profits of the corporations.

The United Nations – a rival international project – is more problematic. It was created immediately after the Second World War with the aim of imposing a law-based international order, premised on respect for human rights, to prevent future large-scale wars and genocide. In practice, however, it chiefly serves the interests of the dominant western states through their capture of the Security Council, effectively the UN’s executive.US or UN

A few UN institutions – those in charge of human rights and prosecuting war crimes – that have the potential to restrain the power of the global elite find themselves ever more marginalised and undermined. Both the UN Human Rights Council and the International Criminal Court have been under sustained assault from US officials, both before and after Donald Trump became president.

Towards the abyss

The internal contradictions of this globalised system – between the unfettered enrichment of the elite and the endless resource depletion of the Earth and its weakest inhabitants – are becoming ever more apparent. Historically, the toxic waste from this system was inflicted on the poorest regions first, like puddles forming in depressions in the ground during a rainstorm.2001-12-31-dec-gap-tween-rich-and-poor-550

As the planet has warmed, crops have failed, the poor have gone hungry, wars have broken out. All of this has been an entirely predictable outcome of the current economics of endless, carbon-based growth, coupled with resource theft. But unlike puddles, the human collateral damage of this economic system can get up and move elsewhere. We have seen massive population displacements caused by famines and wars, especially in the Middle East and North Africa. These migrations are not about to stop. They are going to intensify as neoliberalism hurtles us towards the economic and climate abyss.

The political class in the west are now experiencing profound cognitive dissonance. Merkel and the “moderates” want endless growth and a world without borders that is bringing gradual ruination on their economies and their privileges. They have no answers for the “extremists” on the right, who acknowledge this ruination and say something needs to be done urgently about it.

Orban and the far-right want to fiercely resurrect the borders that globalisation erased, to build barriers that will stop the puddles merging and inundating their higher ground. This is why the right is resurgent. They, far more than the moderates, can describe our current predicament – even if they offer solutions that are positively harmful. They want solid walls, national sovereignty, blocks on immigrants, as well as racism and violence against the “foreigners” already inside their borders.

The system is broken

We have to stop thinking of these political debates as between the good “moderates” and the nasty “extreme right”. This is a fundamental misconception.

The deluded “moderates” want to continue with a highly unsustainable form of capitalism premised on an impossible endless growth. It should be obvious that a planet with finite resources cannot sustain infinite growth, and that the toxic waste of our ever-greater consumption will poison the well we all depend on.EconomicRatRace

The west’s deluded far-right, on the other hand, believe that they can stand guard and protect their small pile of privilege against the rising tide of migrants and warming oceans caused by western policies of resource theft, labour exploitation and climate destruction. The far-right’s views are no more grounded in reality than King Canute’s.

Both sides are failing to grasp the central problem: that the western-imposed global economic system is broken. It is gradually being destroyed from within by its own contradictions. The “moderates” are doubly blind: they refuse to acknowledge either the symptoms or the cause of the disease. The “extremists” are as oblivious to the causes of the illness besetting their societies as the “moderates”, but they do at least recognise the symptoms as a sign of malaise, even if their solutions are entirely self-serving.globalism

Squaring the circle

This can be seen in stark fashion in the deep divide over Britain’s decision to leave the European Union, so-called Brexit, which has cut across the usual left-right agendas.

The Remain crowd, who want to stay in Europe, believe Britain’s future lies in upholding the failed status quo: of a turbo-charged neoliberalism, of diminishing borders and the free movement of labour, of distant, faceless technocrats making decisions in their name.

Like a child pulling up the blanket to her chin in the hope it will protect her from the monsters lurking in the darkness of the bedroom, the “moderates” assume European bureaucrats will protect them from economic collapse and climate breakdown. The reality, however, is that the EU is one of the trans-national institutions whose chief rationale is accelerating our rush to the abyss.

Meanwhile, the Brexit crowd think that, once out of the EU, a small island adrift in a globalised world will be able to reclaim its sovereignty and greatness. They too are going to find reality a terrifying disappointment. Alone, Britain will not be stronger. It will simply be easier prey for the US-headquartered global elite. Britain will be jumping out of the EU frying pan into the flames of the Atlanticists’ stove.BritishBrothersLeaguePoster(1902)

What is needed is not the “moderates” or the “extreme right”, not Brexit or Remain, but an entirely new kind of politics, which is prepared to shift the paradigm.

The new paradigm must accept that we live in a world that requires global solutions and regulations to prevent climate breakdown. But it must also understand that people are rightly distrustful of distant, unaccountable institutions that are easily captured by the most powerful and the most pitiless. People want to feel part of communities they know, to have a degree of control over their lives and decisions, to find common bonds and to work collaboratively from the bottom-up.

IF-YOU-WANT-PEACEThe challenge ahead is to discard our current self-destructive illusions and urgently find a way to solve this conundrum – to square the circle.

BACK TO THE FUTURE

It is 40 years ago TODAY, The Kansas City Times published this report, the 1st of 2 in the Spirit of ’76, as Americans were celebrating the 200th Anniversary of their Revolution.

Kansas City Times, September 13, 1976 (2)

When the Republican Convention was over, and the crowds left, I stayed behind and camped out at the Liberty Memorial Mall in Penn Valley Park. I was surprised how easy it was to just walk in off the street, with no money or organization behind me, and have a major Daily Newspaper chronicle my Voyage of Faith. Newspapers and Magazines Coast to Coast in CanaDa, spread over many years, also bear record of my Voyage in Faith just from walking in off the street as an individual.

From the interview, I had no idea what they would publish, and naturally, when it appeared 40 years ago Today, I thought it was cool the Date and picture were in sync.

“He came to town for the Republican National Convention  and will stay until the election in November to do God’s bidding: To tell the world, from Kansas City, this country has been found wanting and its days are numbered […] He gestured toward a gleaming  church dome. “The gold dome is the symbol of Babylon,” he said.”

These are the first two parts of the three part Writing On The Wall recorded in Daniel 5 during the Captivity of Babylon some 2600 years ago. Babylon is now called Iraq. It was not until 9/11 and 7 years later, with the Global Financial Meltdown-Economic Pearl Harbour-Tsunami in the Fall of 2008, the whole world was able to see the Writing on the Wall for the 1st Time at the same Time. The world has ignored it, still thinking it is a money-things problem, when it is a Spiritual problem.

The 3rd part of the Writing On The Wall tells of Persia, now known as Iran, becoming a dominant Imperial Power in the world, taking over Babylon 2600 years ago. History has repeated itself since the US invasion of Iraq/Babylon, the Biblical model of an Imperial Nation when Iraq was called Babylon. The US is the latest, greatest Nation to wear that Imperial Mantle since taking over from the British Empire after WWII. The Tail has struck the Head, and the reverberations continue to this very Day.

The world and America could not see that in 1976. It’s increasingly evident, from what the secular news media puts out these Days, the Revelation of the unfolding details of that General Vision in 1976 has, and is, coming to pass.

The September 13, 1976 article records, “There are 30 months before the Fate of the world will be sealed with either destruction or the Universal Brotherhood of Man,” he said. The 30 month figure stems from another biblical prophecy, he said, concerning a treaty with Israel…….

NOTE: That does not say Armageddon in 30 months.

The Facts of History show 29 months later, the 1979 Iranian Revolution happened. (Destruction) One month later, exactly 30 months after the September 1976 Kansas City Times record, the Camp David Accord was signed  between Israel and Egypt. (Universal Brotherhood) That took 13 days to negotiate, in sync with the Date and picture of the Kansas City Times record.

‘Thirteen Days in September,’ on Camp David accords, by Lawrence Wright

SYRIA: A WITCH’S BREW – ON THE ROAD TO TEHRAN

The September 13, 1976 Kansas City Times chronicle records the warning of an “idea being put out subtly and deceptively” by the government that we have to get prepared for a war with Russia.”

The Revelation of the unfolding events increasingly reported by Today’s Western news media demonizing Putin and Russia, indicate the TIME of the fulfillment of that prophecy is now at hand, unless saner heads prevail!

Unfortunately, all too often, it looks to me like this world has chosen the Destruction part of the 1976 prophecy. I still hold out hope this world will opt for the Universal Brotherhood of Man and Woman since the other has not happened – yet.

All sane and rational people should pay attention when this world’s major powers are flexing their military muscles, and either deliberately or accidentally, this world is brought to the Biblical End Time Judgment by Fire. This was never possible in the History of Mankind before WWII, but with 23,000 nukes between them, a misjudgment by fire is possible.

This is the attack scene from the made for TV movie ‘THE DAY AFTER’ Kansas city was destroyed in a nuclear holocaust which appeared 7 years after the Kansas City Times articles. Up to this realistic presentation of a nuclear attack, the Official government line was you would be safe ducking under a desk.

p.s. September 28, 2016.

With the death of Shimon Peres, former Prime Minister and President of Israel, and the tributes to him coming from so many Presidents and Prime Ministers from opposite sides of the ideological and political divides, he definitely was a Giant among men, shaping Israel and this world since the re-creation of Israel from the Bible in 1948, after an absence of some 2800 years.

For reasons anyone reading this should understand, naturally, because of this article with the September 13, 1976 KANSAS CITY TIMES record, I would be more interested and curious than anybody else in this world, to read these coincidences or designs only TODAY from the Israeli newspaper Haaretz:

“He never disavowed the Oslo Accords, which, in a coincidence that delighted the crazies on the right, was signed on September 13, 1993, 23 years to the day before Peres collapsed in Sheba Medical Center. His right-wing critics, who blame the accord for all of Israel’s woes, have never explained what their alternative is, other than to persist in the existing situation”

Seems to me the Spirit of the letter and the picture published by THE KANSAS CITY TIMES on September 13, 1976, is still moving and working in this material world.

It led to the 13 days it took to negotiate the Camp David Accord, signed in 1979, exactly 30 months later, as the September 13, 1976 KANSAS CITY TIMES bears the Historical Chronology and record it would be.

All parties to that Treaty did not live up to the Spirit of the letter, and The Oslo Accords were supposed to rectify the failures by not fully implementing Camp David. The Oslo Accords have also failed, as the Middle East is enveloped in Chaos that will spread to the larger world if corrective measures are not taken soon.

It also happened at that 1976 Republican Convention THE KANSAS CITY TIMES does not report, the Secret Service guarding President Ford called me out of a crowd of thousands in the Lobby of the Crown Center Hotel. They were looking up to the restricted mezzanine having the podium of the President as he was expected to be standing there any moment.

Try to imagine my unexpected surprise when, instead of questing me in some room out of sight, the Secret Service Agent led me to stand at the very podium of the President, where he proceeded to question me in the view of all those witnesses, and ABC,CBS & NBC broadcasting live.

Standing face to face with me, after about 12 questions, to my even greater surprise, these exact words came out of his mouth. “Are you Jesus Christ?” I had no illusions about that then or now, and immediately said, “No.”

They wanted to hold my big stick I walked softly with for ‘security reasons’ while the President was in the area.

Having the same image as the picture in the newspaper article above, I would think it’s highly unlikely anyone having such a Revolutionary image stood at the President’s podium anywhere before or since?

God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders,

WIKILEAKS AND DEMOCRATIC FREEDOM OF THE PRESS

chris-Hedges-reality

TRUTH IS THE FIRST CASUALTY OF WAR

I admire Chris Hedges. I see him as being like an Old Testament Prophet, pointing out the warning signs to a society going down the wrong path, to a people who do not listen or consider.

By his notable accomplishments, he speaks from a platform most of us will never reach in our lifetimes. This prominence among the people gives him some protection from arbitrary government actions to silence him – so far.

thiswaythatway[2]His latest warnings and admonitions about what the POWER is doing in our Democracy, that will last only as long as there is a vigilant, aware citizenry, should be heeded by all concerned about our common Future and well being.

His latest article is named ‘THE DEATH OF TRUTH.’ As I read it, even though it is 5 pages long, I see it as modern day version reflecting  the words of the Old Testament Prophet Isaiah recorded 2600 years ago, and posted at the bottom of this article. Not much has changed in all that time gone by.

In my view, these are key perceptions from Chris Hedge’s report:

“Assange, Manning and WikiLeaks, by making public in 2010 half a Constitutional Law Professormillion internal documents from the Pentagon and the State Department, along with the 2007 video of U.S. helicopter pilots nonchalantly gunning down Iraqi civilians, including children, and two Reuters journalists, effectively exposed the empire’s hypocrisy, indiscriminate violence and its use of torture, lies, bribery and crude tactics of intimidation. WikiLeaks shone a spotlight into the inner workings of empire—the most important role of a press—and for this it has become empire’s prey. Those around the globe with the computer skills to search out the secrets of empire are now those whom empire fears most. If we lose this battle, if these rebels are defeated, it means the dark night of corporate totalitarianism. If we win, if the corporate state is unmasked, it can be destroyed.”

ndda-act1Everything is being recorded these days, and it is this video hidden from the American Public clearly demonstrating the horrors of War the American people pay for without question, that made Wikileaks a “Terrorist” to those Authorities who want to keep their own evil deeds under wraps and out of the Public Eye.

As bad as the Boston Marathon murders were in the loss of innocent lives, and the 24/7 patriotic pap fed to Americans by the media, what about this loss of innocent life at the hands of Americans? Does the Biblical injunction ‘what you sow, so shall you reap’ not apply to Americans and other Nations?

Obama-2012“At least a dozen American governmental agencies, including the Pentagon, the FBI, the Army’s Criminal Investigative Department, the Department of Justice, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, and the Diplomatic Security Service, are assigned to the WikiLeaks case, while the CIA and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence are assigned to track down WikiLeaks’ supposed breaches of security. The global assault—which saw Australia threaten to revoke Assange’s passport—is part of the terrifying metamorphosis of the “war on terror” into a wider war on civil liberties. It has become a hunt not for actual terrorists but a hunt for all those with the ability to expose the mounting crimes of the power elite.”

See how terrified the Public Administrators are the People will wake up to their crimes done out of the Public Eye?

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, acrostic-poem-angel-bible-kjv-eph.6.12 against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Ephesians 6:12

“And there is a well-orchestrated campaign of character assassination against Assange, including mischaracterizations of the sexual misconduct case brought against him by Swedish police. Assange has not formally been charged with a crime. The two women involved have not accused him of rape.

Save-Bradley-ManningBradley Manning’s heroism extends to his steadfast refusal, despite what appears to be tremendous pressure, to implicate Assange in espionage. If Manning alleges that Assange had instructed him on how to ferret out classified documents, the U.S. might try to charge Assange with espionage.

Statement of Bradley Manning to the Courts Martial

Assange sought asylum in the Ecuadorean Embassy after exhausting his fight to avoid extradition from the United Kingdom to Sweden. He and his lawyers say that an extradition to Sweden would mean an extradition to the U.S. If Sweden refused to comply with U.S demands for Assange, kidnapping, or “extraordinary rendition,” would remain an option for Washington.

Kidnapping was given legal cover by a 1989 memorandum issued by the julian-assange-on-time-coverJustice Department stating that “the FBI may use its statutory authority to investigate and arrest individuals for violating United States law, even if the FBI’s actions contravene customary international law” and that an “arrest that is inconsistent with international or foreign law does not violate the Fourth Amendment.” This is a stunning example of the security and surveillance state’s Orwellian doublespeak. The persecution of Assange and WikiLeaks and the practice of extraordinary rendition embody the shredding of the Fourth Amendment, which was designed to protect us from unreasonable searches and seizures and requires any warrant to be judicially sanctioned and supported by probable cause.”

Iraq wmdDo you remember the US going to the United Nations Security Council with all that false and misleading information asking for “permission” to invade Iraq?  The UN is the repository of Internationl Law, governing the rules of behaviour among Nations. Each Member State is Sovereign in writing and applying their own National Laws.

The UN is only as good as it’s Member States. The US claims to always hold the highest moral and legal ground among all Nations of this earth. What example did the US set for others when it defied the UN in refusing to sanction the invasion of Iraq, but did it anyway? This was contrary to the UN and International Law? Who but God can bring the US to Court?

When the most powerful Nation can violate International Law with impunity, logically thinking people will know, under the thin veneer we call Civilization, lurks the Law of the Jungle. It is assuredly breaking through with that kind of behaviour by the ruling elite! They don’t want to be exposed. Kill the messenger is the US response to Julian Assuage.

In a Democracy, the people generally get the government they deserve. CPAC does not reveal to the People what their government is doing behind the scenes. The POWER does not want their People to know how double dealing they can be in the power centres of this world they want to control. This is an example from Chris’s report on the value of Wikileaks contribution to transparency;

“In 1975 Kissinger during a conversation with the U.S. ambassador to Turkey and two Turkish and Cypriot diplomats assured his hosts that he could work around an official arms embargo then in effect. He is quoted in the documents as saying: “Before the Freedom of Information Act, I used to say at meetings, ‘The illegal we do immediately; the unconstitutional takes a little longer.’ [laughter] But since the Freedom of Information Act, I’m afraid to say things like that.”

The documents, along with detailing collaborations with the military dictatorships in Spain and Greece, show that Washington created a torture exemption to allow the military government in Brazil to receive U.S. aid.”

American proxy DictatorWhen the peaceful ’79 Iranian Revolution replaced the American imposed proxy Dictatorship of the Shah, the lessor thrones the British created in the Middle East thought they might be next. Even though the American/Shah’s regime was a Dictatorship as brutal as any the Americans say they are against, he followed US Dictates so he was a good for the Americans Dictator. His throne did have some historical legitimacy, going all the way back to the Persian Empire as compared to those Royal Oil Sheikdoms the British created after the collapse of the Ottoman Empire, to serve as proxies for British interests.

The problem for the Americans was how to nip that Peaceful Iranian Iranian People prosting the American proxy DictatorRevolution in the bud? Peaceful Revolutions would put the International Arms dealers out of business. They could not tolerate Peaceful Revolutions. The Truth is the US is the biggest arms dealer the world has ever produced. There is a great conflict of interest in maintaining that position. Conflicts must be created overtly or covertly.

When he was useful to British/American interests, Saddam was the only one in the position to put the boots on the ground as the West’s proxy army in starting the brutal 8 year war to distract the Iranians from exporting their Peaceful Revolution.  The US and the West financed Iraq in waging that war ending in a stalemate after 1,000,000 deaths on both sides.

While I have no proof, my gut tells me the West promised Saddam the return of Kuwait, the 13th Province the British carved out of Iraq and renamed Kuwait, for putting Iraqi lives in harms way for the American interest. I think Saddam was double-crossed and went into Kuwait anyway like the US invaded Iraq without UN sanction. The rest is history.

Assange said he sees WikiLeaks’ primary role as giving a voice to the victims of U.S. wars and proxy wars by using leaked documents to tell their stories. The release of the Afghan and Iraq War Logs, he said, disclosed the extent of civilian death and suffering, and the plethora of lies told by the Pentagon and the state to conceal the human toll. The logs, Assange said, also unmasked the bankruptcy of the traditional press and its obsequious service as war propagandists.”

Ejected From The House of CommonsPlease go here to read the rest of “The Death of Truth” as Chris Hedges wrote it, and give it your thoughtful consideration.

In the final analysis, as Chris says, if the mainstream media do not stand up for Julian Assuange and Bradley Manning, there will no Democratic Freedom of the Press remaining in the Fascist Dictatorship surreptitiously usurping Democracy as we have known it.

You can lead a horse to water,
but you can’t make it drink!

You can lead a person to knowledge,
but you can’t make them think!

Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; saving hand of godyour lips have spoken lies, your tongue has muttered perverseness.

None calls for Justice, nor any pleads for Truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.
They hatch cockatrice’ eggs, and weave the spider’s web: he that eats of their eggs dies, and that which is crushed breaks out into a viper.
Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands.
Their feet run to evil, and they make hast to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths.

The way of Peace they know not; and there is no Judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goes in there shall not know Peace.

Therefore is Judgment far from us, neither does Justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness.
We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at noonday as in the night; we are in desolate places as dead men.
We roar all like bears, and mourn sore like doves: we look for Judgment, but there is none; for Salvation, but it is far off from us.

For our transgressions are multiplied before you, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them;
Isaiah 59In transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.

And Judgment is turned away backward, and Justice stands afar off: for TRUTH is fallen in the street, and EQUITY cannot enter.
Yea, Truth fails; and he that departs from evil makes himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no Judgment.
